The holiday weekend turned bad when Brady found Ella blue laying on our bed Friday night. We'd just gotten home from catching our own trout for dinner and after 500 tests at the hospital found out that little Ella had choked on her own reflux. Luckily the only thing that took a hit was her liver that quickly recovered and after almost a week in the Ped's Intesive Care we went home with an apnea monitor and no sleep! But, we did have a little funtaking pictures in-between a CT Scan, MRI, EKG, EEG, Spinal Tap, Blood Culture, Urine Culture, Mucus Culture, Urinalysis, 24 PH Study, Apnea Study, Chest X-RAY, Video Swallow, Upper GI and 3 failed IV's. Bless little Ella's heart!
OH MY GOSH!! I can't believe it! I am so sorry for you guys but so relieved all is well. That little sweetie-I'm not sure I want to hear more, but let's just say it sounds like we're glad Brady did what he did. love you guys!
Hey guys this is Emily from Mississippi. I found your blog Brady and wanted to stop by and say hey. I haven't seen you since at Ricks. I am so sorry and Relieved about Ella. I was so scared just reading it. I can't imagine how scared you were. I would have died if I saw Mackenzie like that. I am SO glad she is okay.
Seriously mandy - that is one of my worst nightmares - especially a baby. My vivid imagination has played that out so many times in my head. I am so relieved that she is ok now. GET SOME SLEEP NOW!
My new company for Events, Corporate Gifts and Kids Parties. Phew that's a mouthful!
Best quote of the day.
Washing hands in a public bathroom yet again, someone TOOTS and ella says REALLY loudly "Mom! Did you hear that DUCKLING sound?? That was a DUCk but it has FEET and FLIP-FLOPS!!" - 9/10
Ella- Washing hands in a public bathroom, someone enters and Ella says REALLY loudly "Mom...there's a BOY in there!! Oh...no, it's a girl. She just has a MUSTACHE!" -9/10
"...and please bless Alec.....that's me, the one that's saying the prayer...." - 10/12/09
It took mom getting in the shower for the kids to realize that ....oh yeah, we are really hungry. So after my shower, I come into the kitchen and Alec had poured Ella a bowl of Pops and cut bananbas in it. I asked him how he cut the bananas and he said matter-of-factly "with my this." pointing to the karate chopping area of his hand. Isn't he a resourceful young lad. -9/25/09
After a few unsuccessful attempts at trying to get me to understand her interesting accent, Ella put her hands on her head and said exasperatedly "You awah dwinveen me twazy!" -9/09
